When uploading, you can specify content-type, which must be compliant with MIME. The content-type helps the browser to identify the contents of the file. For example, if you upload a jpg file and specify content-type as image/jpeg, then when you open the url of this Object with Chrome, the image is automatically displayed instead of downloaded.
